Just over 100 residents gathered outside the Residents Hall for a very moving ANZAC Day commemorative service. After some floral tributes and wreaths were laid and the national anthem sung, we all wandered inside for morning tea. Then followed a delicious light lunch and our traditional game of two-up using our specially printed “Bayway Bucks”. Lots of fun then with the auction, where someone paid thousands of “bucks” for a seat on our coach trip to the Hunter Valley wineries. A great day was had by all and after a very solemn ceremony in the morning it was good fun to let our hair down a bit and enjoy ourselves.
