On Wednesday 17th May lots of very excited residents climbed aboard our coach ready for a fun day at the Hunter Valley wineries. Our first stop was Chinaman’s Hollow where we all enjoyed a nice hot cuppa with banana and orange cakes. Chinaman’s Hollow is a very nice park near Weston with a lovely picnic area and was very picturesque with the leaves on the trees changing to beautiful autumn colours. Back on the bus we headed to
Drayton’s Family winery for our first tasting of the day. We were offered some very nice reds, whites, sparkling, ports and liquors. We then had lunch at the Log Press Café where the food was really delicious, fresh and plentiful. We were even offered another tasting with our dessert!
Everyone aboard the coach again, onto our next tasting at Tulloch winery. Many more reds, whites, ports and liquor’s later we managed to board the coach (along with our purchases) and made our way to the Hunter Valley Gardens Village. Everyone enjoyed their time at the village having coffee, shopping, more wine tasting and just relaxing. With all our purchases loaded into the coach we had an uneventful trip back to Bayway Village, and look forward to our next outing.
Thanks to all residents who supported us by being part of this very fun outing.
Your friendly BAGS team.
